What a great week. This just week fly by... we have had a very busy and exciting week.

The Chick-Fil-A students of the month are Lauren and Benjamin. Congrats. Everyone will get a chance to be a student of the month.

Our class is participating in a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Alphabet Letter Exchange. This week, we received two letters. Letter A from Brenham, Texas and Letter M from Allen, Texas. Our letter is the letter B. We made our letter B's today. We are excited to get more letters in the mail. We used Google Earth to find both places in Texas. So cool!

Our class pet, Tom-Tom the turtle came to stay and play this week. The kids were more than excited. :)

I have put the Math Center Parent Volunteer and Literacy Center Parent Volunteer links on the blog now. They are located under the parent volunteer tab at the top of the blog. Let me know if you have any questions/problems with signing up.

Homework started this week. The homework packet will be turned in at the end of the month. Please practice writing the letters correctly on top of the homework assignments, as well as going over the letters and sounds.

Wednesday: Day 3 (Our 1st Library visit!)

Academic Update:


Literacy: We learned the letters C and A this week. Keep practicing their sounds and writing them.


Math: We worked on our shapes, graphing and patterns.


Social Studies: We talked about community helpers. Who they are and how they help us and our community.
