What an awesome week! We are in full swing of our animal unit! We have learned and made some cute crafts about some animals! Our magical butterflies came out of their cocoon this week and our lima bean plants are really growing strong! We will be planting them into soil next week! Oh what fun!

Just a reminder all students and chaperones going on the field trip- Money is due TUESDAY, MAY 2nd!

Our school's International Festival is THIS Saturday from 11:00-2:00! It is going to be so much fun. I hope y'all can make it.

Luke celebrated a birthday last week! Happy Birthday!

Academic Update:

Literacy: We are still completing our animal unit. We've had a blast learning about giraffes, monkeys, lions and other fun zoo animals. Please make sure you are reading at least 20 minutes a night. We read every day, so reading at night just helps reinforce the skills we are learning.
Math:  We are in full swing in our subtraction chapter. Please practice basic subtraction at home. Sometimes we get confused and use addition when we are suppose to be using subtraction.
Science: We are learning lots of animal facts!

Have a great weekend!
