4.13.12S

Oh! New Beginnings! We had a great first week in the new school! It was a very busy one but it was crazy awesome! The new classroom is beautiful and the students love it and work really well in it. Please continue talk to your child about 1. walking on the color line in the hallway and not hoping on the color squares. 2. Have proper bathroom etiquette- if we potty on the toilet, clean it up, etc. 3. Taking care of our new beautiful classroom and building. By continuing the conversations at home, it will help the students follow the rules better. Thank you for your home support on this.

I am sending home a new homework packet on Monday. The sight words are listed are on the homework calendar each week.

Now that we are in the beautiful classroom, we are in need of a Swiffer type/mop and a broom /dust pan. If you have one  that you could donate, please let me know. We would like to keep the room as pretty and clean as possible.

The CRCT starts this coming Wednesday. The students (and me) miss having the volunteers in the classroom. Please understand while the CRCT testing is going on throughout the school, no parents are allowed in the building. I look forward to having y'all back in the class.

Ben celebrated a birthday this week. Happy Birthday!

Academic Update:
Literacy: We are continuing our Spring is Here unit. Please practice your sight words every night.
Math: We are currently in the middle of our addition unit.
Science: Parts of a plant. We planted a lima bean and a white bean to watch the seed growth process. Oh, it's so exciting!

Have a great weekend! Enjoy the beautiful weather! :)
