We learned a new word this week... flexibility! This week was a bit different with no school on Tuesday and early release days on Wednesday-Friday. Thank you for your home support with helping your students understand the loss of our Coach.
You may purchase a T-shirt in memory of Coach. The cost is $12 cash. A form when home this week.
Students my purchase Valentine grams for friends or family and they will be delivered to our classroom on Valentine's Day. The cost is $1.00 each. The are sold before school and during lunch through next week. Buy yours today!
During the month of February, we will learn about Black History, Presidents and Women in History. Each student is responsible for doing a written report and presentation on his/her person. Your child may also use visuals, (posters, pictures, books, dress in costume, etc. ) This is no right or wrong way. Your child should be able to give this presentation without assistance. We will have the presentations on February 22-23. It is important that you help your child with this project, but allow them to take ownership of their project. I can't wait to see the projects! :)
We want to welcome Rachel into our class family! She's a great addition to our class! We are now at 18 students and full! Yay!
Congrats to Efe and Ravin for being chosen for Chick-Fil-A students of the Month. We didn't have an assembly due to the early release schedule- but we had a mini assembly in our class for them!
Connor was chosen for student of the week. He has Max the Moose for the weekend. Enjoy!

Academic Update:
Literacy, Math and Science: (We combined the centers this week due to the short days) We celebrated the 100th day of school on Monday. We had a blast doing lots of activities having to do with 100. We talked and learned all about groundhogs day. We saw a picture of the famous groundhog "Phil" and learned he saw his shadow.
Have a great weekend!
