We had an awesome week! Disney Radio came on Friday for an awesome show about staying fit and eating healthy. The students loved it! We had a great Valentine's Day mini celebration. The students loved exchanging Valentines. We honored coach this past Thursday wearing yellow! We looked great!

Just a reminder- No School on Monday due to President's Day. Enjoy the three day weekend!

We are in need of band-aids for our class.

The staff went to the new school on Wednesday. We picked our classrooms- We will be in room 1040! Oh, I'm so excited! We have a blue accent wall in our room- it's beautiful! I can't wait for the students to see it on March 1st at the open house!

Just a reminder that the research project is due on 2/22. The students are to write a report about their person and know enough information for the presentations on Thursday and Friday. It's important you help your child, but please let your child take ownership of their project.

Academic Update:
Literacy: Wheels Go Around. Keep working on sight words, the lists are in the folder- review them every night. We are working on beginning/middle/end in writing right now.
Math: We finished up our clocks/calendar unit this week. We will be starting the next chapter on measurement next week.
Social Studies: We are continuing learning about presidents, black history and American symbols. I showed an awesome power point about the National Monuments on Friday. The students loved it!
