Happy December! We are in full swing of the holiday season in the classroom! We had such a great week this week!
Thank you to Giovanna's mom for being our Mystery Reader this week.
Adelaide was chosen for student of the week. She has Max the Moose for the weekend. Have fun!
I will be sending an e-mail with the sign-up for the Holiday Party needs this week. Our Holiday party is Tuesday, December 20th at 1:00 in the classroom. Parents are welcome to attend! At the party, we will have food, games and a student book exchange. The price for the book exchange is $5.00. There are some really great books at the dollar store... please do NOT spend over the $5 limit. Be mindful, a boy might not like getting a Strawberry Shortcake book and a girl might not like getting a book about trucks. Also, make sure the book is wrapped. :)
Wednesday, December 21 is our Polar Express Day. Students may wear their PJ's to school. No slippers, only sneakers.
The school is having a Candy Cane fundraiser. $1 buys one candy cane, $5 buys 6. Students can write a special message to the person to whom they purchased the candy cane for and the candy canes will be delivered next Wednesday to our class.
Please make sure your child wears a coat to school. We go outside for recess unless it is 35 degrees or below. The kids need the fresh air and running around time outside. Please make sure you are sending them in a good coat. I've put my coat on a few students to make sure they can go outside.
Next week's spelling words are:
The "en family"
pen
ten
then
hen
men

Thank you for your home support and have a great weekend! :)
