Our 2nd field trip of the year is on Tuesday, November 15th to the Georgia Aquarium.
- Send a completely disposable lunch - in a brown paper bag. If your child purchased a lunch from the Dinning Hall, they will have a sack lunch that day.
- Wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Wear red uniform shirt and jeans.
- Make sure your child is on time for school.
Our Friends and Family Feast will be on Friday, November 18th, in the Dinning Hall from 1:15-2:15.
Parents are welcome. It's going to be so much fun!
This week our school is teaming up with NorthStar Church and MUST to help with the canned food drive.
Everyday next week, your child gets to dress up differently, if they bring in the right number of cans.
Monday - 1 can : spirit shirts inside out with uniform bottoms
Tuesday - 2 cans : wear team shirt with uniform bottoms
Wednesday - 3 cans : wear wacky socks in full uniform
Thursday - 4 cans : wear your favorite hat in full uniform
Friday - 5 cans : NUT PASS - no uniform day
Kennesaw Christmas Parade Raffle
A form went home on Friday to win a chance to walk with KCSMA Kennesaw Christmas Parade!
Parents must walk with the students, if they are chosen. It's .50 per each raffle. The parade is December 3rd at 1:00pm. All entries must be turned in by November 18th.

We are so lucky to have Kahlo in our class. He's a wonderful addition to our class family. We now have 15 amazing students in our class.

Academic Update:
Literacy: Friends and Family Unit. We are working on sounding out sounds and blending them together to make a word. The sight word list for next week is a good example of the blending sounds. We are working on hearing the sounds and being able to put the letters together to form a word.
Math: We are currently in the middle of chapter 5. We are learning the difference between plain and 3-D shapes. We are learning that some shapes have curves and edges and some stack and slide.
Social Studies: We have been talking about the difference between pilgrims and us. (Then and Now). The other questions we've talked about are: What is a pilgrim and a Indian? Why do we have Thanksgiving? What are we thankful for?
