Good-Bye October and Hello November! Next week is a big week. Monday is our "Orange you glad it's Fall" day. Students can wear the color orange. It is a no uniform day. No Costumes. The book character pumpkins are due Monday. Don't forget to bring the book that goes with your pumpkin. I can't wait to see them!

We had a great 50th day of school on Monday! We danced in our sock-hop, counted our 50 items and drank sprite floats. It was a blast! Everyone looked so cute in their 50's attire.

Tuesday is our field trip to the new school. We will leave the school around 8:45 and be back in time for lunch at 10:00. Make sure your child has good walking shoes and brings a jacket.

Don't forget to send in the field trip form and money for the Aquarium. The cost for students is $19 cash only. If you are planning on being a chaperon, the cost will be 18.50 cash only too. Please send it in by Wednesday, November 9th.

Tuesday, November 8th is NO SCHOOL- Happy Election Day.

Academic Update:
Literacy: We learned the letter J and discussed the at family. We did GREAT on our spelling test this week! We are learning about spiders and did lots of literacy lessons about spiders.
Math: We are finishing up chapter 4. We are really working on our numbers. We are learning how to separate  a group of cubes equally. 
Science: We talked all about spiders this week. We also counted the seeds in our pumpkin and felt the inside of a pumpkin.
