What a great week! We have done so much this week already and it's only Thursday! Next week is fall break. There is no school Monday 9/20 - Friday 9/24. Enjoy your time off from school!

I am going to order the scholastic books over break- so we can get them next week. I haven't received any orders in a week, so I'm going ahead a ordering them. You can still order on-line. I will order them at the later part of fall break to give those who still might want to order, time to order!

We celebrated Nadia's birthday this week! Over break Matheus will celebrate his birthday too! Happy Birthday to Nadia and Matheus.

Technology Update:
We got another computer in our classroom today! So we are currently rocking 3 computers!! Yeah!

Academic Update:

Literacy: We have started a new unit called "Colors all around" We learned alot about our colors. In phonics, we learned two new letters this week, o and g. We also learned to sight words too, I and can.

Math:We have finished our chapter on patterns. We took our math test today. We will start a new chapter on Monday when we come back from fall break.

Science/Social Studies: We have really been talking about maps and learning that our school is in Kennesaw and that we live in Cobb County and in Georgia. Continue talking to your kids about their surroundings. They are fascinated with that we can live in Kennesaw, Cobb County and Georgia all at the same time! :) We had two postcards arrive this week! A special thank you to Michael, who brought one in from Panama City Beach, FL and Meghana who brought one in from Hawaii. We have estimated how many post cards we will get. The numbers are high... so start collecting those post cards!

Our specials for next week are: Monday: Media, Tuesday: Music, Wednesday: P.E., Thursday: Spanish and Friday: Art.
